MCLD Lighting Distribution
We leveraged our expertise as lighting designers to build a distribution wing centered around successful project management. Our process begins by providing you with detailed documentation to communicate critical information to your clients, to ensure material is accurately ordered and deadlines will be met, and our organization methods keep you running smoothly to the close of project.
MCLD currently distributes in New York, Miami, and their surrounding areas.
Our Distribution Process
Avoid oversights and
field conflicts
CAD & Schedule Review – MCLD reviews your drawings and schedules to develop an RFI report you can share with your client. It highlights missing information needed for a successful installation phase, including:
Controls compatibility
Driver style (remote vs integrated)
Housing, trim, and lensing requirements
Finish colors
Millwork and other integrated lighting details review
Linear lighting assembly preferences
Stay organized from
the very beginning
Quote Package – You will receive:
Material quote
Lead times for all fixtures
Fixture schedule
Cutsheet booklet
Value engineered / substitution options are available upon request.
Get ahead of scheduling issues
and material delays
Pre-Delivery Management – MCLD can help you manage projects efficiently through transparency, quick response times, and solid communication. Our weekly updated Time on Job Report provides lead time and status updates for all items. Customized system automations flag potential problems, so issues can be resolved promptly.
Prevent disorganized jobsites and
wasted time
Organized Receiving, Storage and Delivery – We know firsthand how frustrating it is to puzzle out an unorganized delivery. All items ordered through MCLD use your CAD drawing fixture identification tags or are assigned a unique identification tag.
During receiving, packages are inspected for damage and order accuracy, then organized for a smooth delivery. Tags are attached to all packages and documents. Jobsite organization is easy: just match each package’s tag to its schedule and you’re good to go. If needed, we can update your CAD drawings to match.
Two months’ warehouse storage and bulk delivery are included with each project, to allow you the freedom to schedule your installation timeline with a healthy safety margin. We can hold material beyond two months and provide partial deliveries as needed for an added fee.
If you find yourself in need of help beyond our distribution services, we offer a wide suite of lighting design services. Examples include:
Load schedules
Code submission packages
Photometric analysis
Updating CAD layouts and fixtures tags
Lighting integration CAD details
Advanced controls diagnosis and A/V coordination
